Mr Johnson’s Choice Rabbit FOOD is a fibrous, nutritious, wholesome blend of steamed flaked peas, cereals, pellets & extrusions – supplying your rabbit with a tasty, healthy food in a variety of textures to encourage the natural foraging instinct.

Feeding the correct diet to your rabbit is essential for maintaining good health. Rabbits require high fibre levels in their diet to assist normal digestive function and aid essential dental wear.

Mr Johnson’s Choice Rabbit Food is a complementary feed and should be fed together with unlimited access to good quality hay which is an important source of fibre and an essential part of your rabbit’s diet. A small quantity of fresh greens should also be fed daily and fresh clean water must always be available.

A rabbits diet should be made up of 85 – 90% of fresh clean good quality hay an essential fibre source and one that mimics their natural diet in the wild. Hay plays a vital part in dental wear and a rabbit’s digestive function. Feed this with a carefully measured portion of Mr Johnson’s Choice rabbit food as recommended on the packaging dependent on the weight of your rabbit for a balanced diet. A daily portion of suitable fresh greens should also be fed, with fresh clean water being available 24 hours a day.

How much hay should rabbits eat and how often?
Rabbits need unlimited access to fresh clean good quality hay 24 hours a day.  No one likes dirty, stale food so yesterday’s hay can be used in their bedding area or thrown away and a nice fresh pile of hay should be available daily. Remember to check their hay during the day to ensure they don’t run out and have access to it 24 hours a day, rabbits will continue to graze throughout the night.
